LaMarcus Aldridge had no difficulty recalling the last time he finished a first half nearly perfect.
“My last year in Portland, at Chicago,” said Aldridge. “I had [21] points (on 10-of-12 shooting) in the first quarter.”
Aldridge almost duplicated that performance on Christmas Day against the same opponent. He finished with 19 of his game-high 33 points in the first quarter to help the Spurs beat the Bulls, 119-100, Sunday evening at AT&T Center.
Kawhi Leonard scored 25 points, while Tony Parker finished with 13 points and eight assists.
The Spurs improved to 9-4 at home this season.
