College football fans will hear plenty in the preseason about how dominant defending national champion Ohio State will be, what a cutthroat, deep division the SEC West is and whether or not TCU or Baylor will make the necessary push for playoff contention. And while these discussions are all well and good, college football’s top division, the FBS, runs 128 deep and many, many more programs will be absent from playoff banter and Top 25 lists than present.
