Krossover Defeats Hudl In Company Football Game

Lincoln-based company oversleeps after a late night breaking down film; forfeits game

New York, NY -- The two major players in the amateur sports film space were scheduled to compete head-to-head in a company football game in New York's Central Park today, but the game was called off after Hudl's team failed to arrive at the field in time for kick-off. League officials later learned that several members of Hudl's coaching staff overslept at the team hotel, following a long night of breaking down their own game film in an attempt to prepare for Krossover's high-powered offense.

"I'm disappointed that we weren't able to compete with them," said Phil Ming Tuslo of Team Hudl. "The task of breaking down all of our own game film, tagging it, then finally putting together our game plan just proved to be too exhausting and tedious."

Scouts at the game reported Krossover's coaching staff looked calm and confident when they took the field this afternoon.

"We feel great. We've got a great game plan. All our guys reviewed it on their phones on the way over to the field. We're ready to kick this thing off," said Brett Markowitz, Quarterback of Team Krossover. Markowitz then added, "Has anybody seen them? Maybe they got lost on the subway or something - it can be kind of confusing when you're not used to the big city".

Representatives at Team Krossover said they'd be open to rescheduling the game once Hudl was able to get some rest. However, the Lincoln-based tech company was forced to decline due to a scheduling conflict.

"We'll be really busy the rest of the spring. We need to hit the road and teach our customers how to use our product. It's a tedious process, so we like to go out and meet them in person. We can't be completely full-service and intuitive like their product, our guys like doing it themselves," explained Coach Tuslo.

It was certainly a disappointing afternoon on the gridiron for those expecting to see a tough, competitive matchup. In fact, it was never really even a contest.

“We’d hate to see this happen to anyone else,” said Markowitz. “So for any coach that heads to our website today, we’ll break down and tag three of their scouting games for free. We want to make sure every team is well-prepared and full of energy when they hit the field. It’s unfortunate that our opponent today just didn’t bring it.”
