The Greatest Invention In The History Of Stadiums Has Arrived

The Minnesota Twins may be at the bottom of the AL Central, but the guys who run the concessions at Target Field are taking the franchise where no team has gone before:

SELF-SERVE BEER!

The revolutionary machine debuts just in time for the 2014 MLB All-Star Game. According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, the machines are a product of food service provider Delaware North and Anheuser-Busch.

Fans wishing to purchase a beer just need to show their ID at a cash register and preload a card with money. Then, like kids in a candy store, they can pick from one of four beers: Budweiser, Bud Light, Goose Island's 312 Urban Pale Ale or Shock Top Lemon Shandy.

The beer-dispensing wizardry, while regulating the amount poured per card per hour, doesn't eliminate the need for human oversight. Attendants will remain nearby to filter out anyone who appears inebriated and to re-ID those that appear under 30.

"There's obviously some novelty value to this, but it also allows people to pour what they want," Delaware North principal Jerry Jacobs Jr. said. "If they want half of a cup, that's all they will pay for."

Remember the days of filling up slushies? Seems like mastering that technique of *pour* *slurp* *top off* *repeat* may finally pay off.
