Former Steelers WR Chase Claypool signs with Buffalo Bills

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been connected to multiple potential trades for a wide receiver this offseason. However, it was one of their former receivers who has surprisingly signed a new contract with a new team.

Former Steelers second-round pick receiver Chase Claypool has signed with the Buffalo Bills, the team announced today.

Claypool was traded out of Pittsburgh to the Chicago Bears in 2022 for a second-round pick. The Steelers used that pick to draft cornerback Joey Porter Jr.

Claypool struggled heavily with the Bears, only totaling 18 catches with the Bears in 10 games before being dealt to the Miami Dolphins.
