Steelers LT Levi Brown, who played one game for the team before sustaining a season-ending triceps injury, has apparently retired from professional football. This information still hasn't been confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt. We first got word of Brown's possible retirement from this post, and everything we've heard out of Pittsburgh indicates there could be some truth to this.
The Steelers acquired Brown from the Arizona Cardinals on October 2nd in exchange for a late-round draft pick.
Brown played college football at Penn State before being drafted by Arizona with the fifth pick of the 2007 draft. The 6’6, 324 lb lineman spent all of 2012 on the injured reserve after tearing his triceps during the preseason, the same injury that landed him on the injured reserve earlier this week.
We'll provide more details as they become available. Stay tuned.
