The Phoenix Suns have signed center Tyson Chandler to a four-year, $52 million deal, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
The move means that Phoenix has committed all of its salary-cap space to sign Chandler away from the Dallas Mavericks in order to pair him with guards Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe as the Suns' new cornerstones. However, that doesn't mean they're done shopping.
Phoenix agreed to terms with Chandler quickly enough to be able to have him included in their meeting with Portland Trail Blazers free agent LaMarcus Aldridge. The Suns are one of seven teams Aldridge is meeting with, and if he wants to sign with Phoenix, the Suns will have to make some moves to create enough cap space to sign him.
The Suns also agreed to a five-year, $70 million deal to re-sign Knight, though the contracts with Chandler and Knight can't be officially signed until July 9.
