In the weeks leading up to the 2014 non-waiver trade deadline, the Philadelphia Phillies have been rumored to be one of the most active sellers on the market. Despite having at least a dozen players fetching inquiries, the Phillies are far away from making even one move before Thursday's 4PM EST cutoff.
According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro hasn't received a single offer that he would deem to be worth offloading one of his trade chips:
Sources: #Phillies have not received acceptable offer for ANY of their players. Surprised teams not more aggressive. About 17 hours to go.

Per Rosenthal, Amaro isn't willing to just start trading off players for financial flexibility:
Sources: #Phillies adamant that they will not give players away. Do not need to cut payroll. Can try again in off-season if necessary. — Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) July 31, 2014
On the flip side, potential trade suitors believe that the Phillies are asking way too much for players on the other side of 30:
The flip side of the #Phillies’ equation: Rival executives say team is asking too much for older, expensive players.

Just because things are currently at a standstill, doesn't mean that a move (or a few) won't get done. Stay tuned.
