NFL Free Agency officially starts today, and the next few days will feature several Philadelphia Eagles rumors. While free agency doesn't officially start until 4 p.m. today, teams have used the "legal tampering" days to their advantage. Teams can discuss contracts with any player, although a deal can't be signed until the new league year starts. With that in mind, here are a few of the more interesting rumors and news tidbits on the Eagles.
Philadelphia Signs Brandon Brooks
While the Texans were throwing money at RB Lamar Miller and QB Brock Osweiler, the Eagles swooped in and stole OG Brandon Brooks.
The #Eagles signing G Brandon Brooks to a 5-year, $40M, source said.

Interestingly, the Texans took Brooks with the draft pick the Eagles sent to them in exchange for DeMeco Ryans. Brooks will help fill the Eagles' major need at guard.
Eagles Sign Rodney McLeod
The Eagles have Malcolm Jenkins at one safety sport and now have someone to pair with him.
Rodney McLeod agrees with the #Eagles for 5 years, $37M, source said.

McLeod comes over from the Rams, where he's coming off a solid season. The addition of McLeod likely spells the end of Walter Thurmond's time in Philadelphia.
Chase Daniel Coming To Philadelphia
The Eagles were in the market for a backup QB, and it's no surprise they ended up with Chase Daniel.
Eagles and QB Chase Daniel agreed in principle on multi-year deal, per @caplannfl and me. Daniel reuniting with Doug Pederson.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 9, 2016
He played under current Eagles head coach Doug Pederson in Kansas City. It's a three-year, $21 million deal for Daniel. That's a steep price to pay for a backup. The addition of Daniel means the Eagles will likely trade or cut Mark Sanchez.
Dolphins-Eagles Trade Still On
Although the trade was nearly canceled because of an injury concern with CB Byron Maxwell, the Eagles and Dolphins will complete their trade. LB Kiko Alonso and CB Byron Maxwell are heading to Miami, with the teams swapping first round picks.
Murray Trade Compensation
The Eagles shipped off RB DeMarco Murray to the Titans, in what basically amounts to a salary dump. The Eagles and Titans are swapping fourth round picks in the move. The Eagles get the No. 97 overall pick and the Titans get the No. 110 overall pick.
