WR Allen Robinson was already considered one of the top wide receivers in the 2014 NFL Draft, but his performance at his Penn State pro day will send his stock soaring even higher.
Robinson looked sharp running routes and catching passes, but it was his performance in drills that really set him apart.
A 42-inch vertical jump was the main eye-opener (at the 2014 Draft Combine, the highest jump measured was 41 inches, from Baylor's Tevin Reese), but Robinson's 11 foot broad jump also turned some heads (Reese and Mississippi's Donte Moncrief tied for first at the combine, also with an 11-foot jump).
An sub-4.5 40-yard-dash time also showcased Robinson's top-end speed, and the coaches in attendance - including Philadelphia's Chip Kelly - were no doubt impressed by what they saw.
Robinson previously projected anywhere from late in the first round to early in the third, but this pro day performance is likely to vault him up to the tail end of the first. We'd be shocked if the second round goes by without his name being called - with the number of teams looking for a wide receiver, Robinson has too much upside to pass over.
