Shelby Moran clinched her second consecutive Pac-12 championship title in the hammer throw. After four events, the Women of Oregon were tied for fourth in the team standings with 17 points. On the men’s side, the Ducks secured six points on the first day of the conference meet.
Oregon also celebrated eight qualifiers—five women and three men—in Friday’s preliminaries.
Moran joins an elite group as the sixth woman in conference history to achieve back-to-back hammer throw victories. Her outstanding performance, including a day’s best of 68.80m/225-8 in the second round, secured her the win by over eight feet.
