ARLINGTON, Texas — Even from afar, CeeDee Lamb was a fan of Jalen Hurts.
During his senior season at Richmond (Texas) Foster High School and his freshman season at Oklahoma — the two years where Hurts starred at Alabama, the Crimson Tide were appointment television when he wasn’t busy with his own team.
“I watched Bama when they played on Saturdays and he played a huge part in it,” Lamb said of the quarterback who grew up about 50 miles away from Richmond on the other side of Houston. “I don’t know why people act like he just never threw a deep ball.
