With the injury to Justin Tuck, the Raiders were in need of some depth at defensive end. They went about making that happen today by resigning former draft pick Shelby Harris to their active roster from their practice squad. In a corresponding move, the team waived undrafted free agent defensive back Tevin McDonald.
The 6'2", 290-pound Harris was drafted by Oakland in the seventh round of the 2014 draft out of Southern Illinois. He saw some action with the Raiders last season, especially in the preseason, but this year had been relegated to the practice squad.
