The Fighting Irish trail the Boilermakers 10-3 at the half, thanks to an extremely unimpressive offensive showing. The Irish didn't put points on the board until a Kyle Brindza field goal with just 44 seconds remaining in the half, and while Purdue hasn't looked especially formidable on either side of the ball, they still lead the Irish by a touchdown.
Irish QB Tommy Rees is 8/17 for 94 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions, and his counterpart Rob Henry of Purdue is 12/19 for 122 yards and one touchdown.
Both offenses have looked anemic - both combined have only put together 270 total yards of offense over two quarters of play.
