The Notre Dame Fighting Irish lost their third game in a row on Saturday, falling to the 24th ranked Louisville Cardinals 31-28 in South Bend.
While they're isn't a lot of good news to be shared about the loss itself, Notre Dame still has bragging rights when it comes to being the all-time leader in regards to winning percentage in college football history.
The Michigan Wolverines' loss to the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday ensured that Notre Dame's .2% lead over the Wolverines remains safe for now:
1. Notre Dame 73.2%
2. Michigan 73.0%
Notre Dame is still 7-4 and likely to receive a pretty decent bowl invitation with a win over the USC Trojans next Saturday. Michigan, on the other hand, stands at 5-6 and will need to pull off the upset to end all upsets in Columbus against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
A Michigan loss and two Notre Dame wins to close out the campaign and the Irish will even further their case for all-time bragging rights heading into the offseason.
