There are very few guarantees when it comes to the game of football, but when it comes to the #9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish's MASSIVE road game against the #21 Temple Owls this week, we've found an exception to the rule. Here's 3 Reasons Why Notre Dame Will Blow Out Temple.
1. Temple's Offense
The Owls' whole attack is predicated on limiting possessions on defense before controlling the clock with the run. It's been effective during their 7-0 start, but they haven't faced a team with the caliber of athletes that Notre Dame has. The Irish will stretch the field on Temple, forcing them out of their comfort zone by pushing them into passing situations. Once Temple falls down 10 or more, it's all over. They're not built to come back from that.
2. CJ Prosise
Prosise is the Heisman candidate that no one is talking about. He's been the entire engine room for the Notre Dame offense, running over and through opposing defenses while making QB DeShone Kizer's transition to starter that much easier. Temple's run defense is elite, but Prosise is flexible and malleable enough as an offensive threat to exploit any and all mistakes the Owls front seven makes.
3. Experience On This Stage
The Irish have survived any and all challenges except one this year, and that was a game they almost won in miraculous fashion against a Clemson team that's in prime position for a College Football Playoff berth. The kids at Temple have never been in a game of this magnitude in their lives. The Irish have consistently won big games while dealing with an insane amount of injuries. One team's tempered by the fire, the other hasn't been tested. That's recipe for an ND win.
