The Mets started off the week strong, logging two straight victories against the Cardinals before rain hampered their ability to go for a sweep. But over the weekend, things looked bleak until Brandon Nimmo provided an injection of joy in the form of yesterday’s walk-off homer. The Mets’ bats were otherwise held in check by the Braves and they were very nearly no-hit on Saturday.
