What in the name of Larry is going on here?
Longtime Mets adversary Chipper Jones has booked a seat on the Amazin’s bandwagon, the retired Braves slugger revealed Tuesday, adding to the pigs-in-flight vibe as the team he tormented stands one win from advancing to the National League Championship Series.
“I hate to say this, but I’ve actually found myself kinda rooting for them, to be honest with you,” Jones said on “The Dan Le Batard Show” on ESPN radio.
Mostly because he has a soft spot for one of the Mets stars — though it’s not David Wright, a fellow iconic one-team third baseman.
