Isiah Thomas' first stint as president of the New York Knicks did not go well at all, but it appears he may be getting a second chance to run the organization.
According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, Thomas has emerged as a "dark horse candidate" for the job.

Thomas took over as Knicks president in 2003 and also coached the team from 2006-08, but was fired after New York went 23-59 in the 2007-08 season. However, Knicks owner James Dolan and Thomas have maintained a strong relationship even after he was fired.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Knicks are targeting Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri to replace Jackson. It remains to be seen if he has interest in the job, but right now, Thomas is only a backup option to him.
