New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony missed Sunday's loss to the Houston Rockets with an illness, but he's expected to return tomorrow against the Philadelphia 76ers, according to ESPN's Ian Begley.
New York lost to Houston in overtime without their best player, blowing a big lead in the fourth-quarter because of their inability to score the ball. Anthony will certainly help with that in his return, but they may not need him to play like his usual self against the 76ers.
Philadelphia tied the 2009-10 Nets for the worst start in NBA history (0-18), and could set the record when they host the Los Angeles Lakers tonight.
The Knicks are now 8-10 on the season and are on a four-game losing streak.
Anthony is averaging 22.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 34.6 minutes per game this year.
