Only 33 players remain on the New York Islanders training camp roster. On Thursday, the Islanders placed seven players on waivers for re-assignment to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
The seven players waived by the Islanders are: Christopher Gibson (G), Jared Coreau (G), Kyle Burroughs (D), Seth Helgeson (D), Cole Bardreau (C), Travis St. Denis (RW), and Matthew Lorito (RW/LW).
None of the players waived was going to make the Islanders NHL roster. But along with the 12 names cut on Wednesday things start to clear up quite a bit for the Islanders.
