SUNRISE, Fla. — Matt Martin could make his season’s debut following offseason ankle surgery when the Islanders continue their franchise-record 13-game road trip at Chicago on Tuesday night.
Even if Martin continues to sit, coach Barry Trotz said he needs more out of his identity-setting fourth line following Saturday night’s 5-1 loss to the Panthers at FLA Live Arena.
"That line gives us a lot of juice," Trotz said. "Honestly, I don’t think they’ve been really good at all compared to what their ceiling is. That is a little bit concerning. But I can say that about a couple of lines.
