After releasing wide receiver Victor Cruz, the New York Giants are also cutting running back Rashad Jennings, according to ESPN's Jordan Ranaan:
The Giants are also releasing starting RB Rashad Jennings, per sources. He was set to count over $3M vs salary cap and will save them $2.5M.

Jennings, who will turn 32 next month, started 28 games for the Giants over the last two years. However, he saw his role decrease as the season went on as rookie Paul Perkins began taking over most of the carries.
After rushing for a career-high 863 rushing yards in 2015, Jennings picked up 593 yards and three touchdowns on 181 carries this past season. He was entering the final year of a four-year contract he signed with the Giants in 2014.
