The New York Giants have made another major trade. This time, the Giants are sending DE Jason Pierre-Paul to the Bucs, per Adam Schefter.
The Giants are also sending a fourth-round pick to the Bucs, while getting a 2018 3rd and 4th rounder back. The Giants are giving up the #102 overall pick and getting #69 and #108 in return.
The Giants are also in the process of moving to a 3-4 defense. The move actually saves the Giants very little money in cap space. While the Bucs take on a $12.5 million cap hit, the Giants are eating $15 million in dead money because of his signing bonus. The Giants only save $2.5 million in cap space.
The Bucs, meanwhile, get a badly needed edge rusher. They had previously tried to trade for Robert Quinn.
