The New York Giants made a trade with the Tennessee Titans to get the first pick in the second round (No. 33 overall pick) to draft Landon Collins out of Alabama.
Position: Strong Safety
Measurables: 6’0”, 228 lbs, 31 1/2” arm length, 8 ⅜” hands
Analysis:
Collins already has pro size and strength, which he uses – along with great instincts – to be an absolute force in the running game. He played all four positions in the secondary while at Alabama, and has all of the leadership qualities you would expect from a Nick Saban product. Collins needs to get more consistent in pass coverage and be more disciplined in the play action, but he has the skills to be an impact player right away.
