The 5-5 New York Giants travel to face the 4-6 Washington Redskins in a game with major NFC East implications. It's pretty much down to the Redskins and Giants, since the Eagles are falling apart and the Cowboys lost Tony Romo for the season. The Giants beat the Redskins earlier this season, meaning a win would essentially give the Giants a three game lead since they'd hold the tiebreaker. Here are three reasons why the Giants will CRUSH the Redskins.
3. Poor Washington Secondary
Washington was thin in the secondary even with CB Chris Culliver. Now that he's out for the season with a torn ACL and MCL, the Redskins are hurting badly. That should mean a big day for Odell Beckham. The Giants must target him early and often, because Breshaud Breeland isn't good enough to shut down Beckham.
2. Redskins' Awful Running Game
Go ahead and forget the Redskins great day on the ground against a terrible Saints' run defense. That was a fluke. The Redskins haven't been able to move the ball consistently this year on the ground. It's why they have 95 yards per game, a number inflated by their 209 against the Saints. The Redskins won't be able to run the ball against the Giants, which will put too much pressure on their defense and QB Kirk Cousins.
1. Eli Manning
Having the best QB in your division makes life easier. Manning is a vastly superior QB to Cousins and it's why there's just no way the Giants will lose to Washington. Cousins turns the ball over much more often than Manning does, and that will hurt Washington. Manning will find ways to make plays and with him at the helm, the Giants will take control of the NFC East.
