Etched in black Sharpie along her wrist, “Simplicity,” is a reminder to Brooke Webster of just how she should play her position.
A holding midfielder for the New Mexico women’s soccer team, Webster was responsible for keeping the Lobos in their games this weekend against nationally ranked squads Florida State and Texas Tech.
Although Webster was unable to help New Mexico pull out a victory in the four-team, four-game Lobo Invitational – the Lobos losing 1-0 to the No. 15 Red Raiders on Sunday after a 3-1 loss to the top-ranked and defending national champion Seminoles on Friday – she came away encouraged by the effort.
