Why Joshua Uche Passed On Other Offers To Re-Sign With Patriots

FOXBORO, Mass. — Joshua Uche acknowledged his decision to re-sign with the New England Patriots this offseason prompted some to call his “crazy.” But Uche, given the fact the Patriots drafted him and his familiarity with the coaching staff, knew he wanted to be a part of the new era in New England.

“It’s great to be back,” Uche said at Gillette Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

Uche signed a one-year, team-friendly contract with the Patriots this offseason. The 2020 second-round edge rusher signed a one-year deal worth $3 million, but reportedly turned down much bigger offers.
