The New England Patriots on Tuesday afternoon re-signed special teamer/safety Ross Ventrone to their remaining opening on the teams 10-man practice squad.
As first reported in a tweet by ESPN Boston’s Mike Reiss, the signing is a homecoming of sorts for Ventrone as he is reunited with his older brother Ray, who is the assistant special teams coach for the Patriots.
The real story with Ventrone is he no stranger to the Patriots system, from 2010-2012 he went between the practice squad and active roster 29 times and was promoted to the 53-man roster five additional times.
