According to ESPN's Field Yates, the New England Patriots have signed former Colts WR Austin Collie. Collie, a graduate of BYU, spent four years with the Indianapolis Colts. During the third game of the 2012 season, Collie suffered a ruptured patellar tendon in his right knee, and he missed the rest of the year. Collie signed a 1-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers on August 2nd, but they released him during their final preseason cuts.
Collie has caught 173 passes for 1845 yards and 16 touchdowns over the course of his four-year NFL career.
