New York (AFP) - Brooklyn Nets guard Jarrett Jack underwent successful right knee ligament reconstruction surgery and is expected to fully recover in time for next season, the NBA club announced Wednesday.
The 32-year-old American, who has played for seven teams over 11 seasons, suffered the injury in the second half at Boston on January 2.
Jack, set to be paid $6.3 million this season and next, started in all 32 of his appearances for Brooklyn this season, averaging 12.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and a team-high 7.4 assists.
At 10-28, the Nets are on a five-game losing streak and have the third-worst record in the NBA, 10 games behind Orlando for the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
