Basketball can be played anywhere, from the streets of New York to the beaches of California. However, these next five NBA arenas push the limits of that philosophy. While you’ll find great, diehard fans in all of these arenas and in all of these cities, these next stadiums just aren’t quite “with it” from an experience standpoint:
5) FedEx Forum - Memphis Grizzlies
Memphis is a college basketball town, which means the Grizzlies are always trying to sell more tickets rather than entertain the fans that are there. The atmosphere is electric during the playoffs, but during the regular season, it's pretty bland.
4) Verizon Center - Washington Wizards
Despite Washington's recent success, the Verizon Center is still often very quiet and dull.
3) Target Center - Minnesota Timberwolves
The Target Center is a little older, so it doesn't have any of the state-of-the-art amenities other arenas do. It's a basic, no-frills arena without anything particularly bad about it (other than the team), but it doesn't have anything good about it either.
2) Sleep Train Arena - Sacramento Kings
Sacramento has some of the most passionate fans in the league, but their stadium's scratched wooden stairs and plastic chairs are outdated.
1) BMO Harris Bradley Center - Milwaukee Bucks
The Bradley Center is perhaps the most generic arena in the league. There's nothing that stands out about it - other than the parts of it that are falling apart.
