With the 17th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the Milwaukee Bucks select Rashad Vaughn out of UNLV.
Position: Shooting Guard
School: UNLV
Class: Freshman
Measurables: 6’5”, 200 lbs
Analysis:
The 18-year-old Vaughn is one of the youngest players in this year’s draft, but he already has the strength and the size of a true NBA shooting guard. He was the second leading freshman scorer in the nation in 2014-15 (17.8 ppg), and he possesses an innate knack for solving floor spacing issues and attacking the defense accordingly. While he has a tendency to force shots in non-ideal situations and needs to become a better finisher when absorbing contact, Vaughn has the athleticism and smarts to evolve into a deadly spot-up shooter with the lateral quickness to be a good perimeter defender.
