With National Signing Day coming up on Wednesday, one of Michigan's top remaining targets - five-star defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon - is set to be one of the day's biggest announcements. The Leesburg, GA native is picking between Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and USC, but according to Scout.com's Chad Simmons, Solomon already knows who he is choosing.
The No. 2 defensive tackle in the country had coaches from Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and USC in to see him this week and this is all came after tornadoes did damage around Leesburg (Ga.) over the weekend. It has been a wild week on multiple levels for the 6-foot-3, 294 pound force in the trenches, but between having school canceled early in the week due to the weather damage and meeting with guys like Nick Saban and Clay Helton, this five star came to his decision.
The former Wolverine commit knows who he is signing with on February 1.
"I feel like I have found out where I am going," Solomon said. "It came to me on Wednesday. I just prayed about it the night before and when I woke up, the answer came to me."
Many believe in the power of prayer, but was it really that simple?
If Solomon got his answer on Wednesday, the only coaching staff who had visited him this week prior to that was from USC. Alabama, Georgia and Michigan all came in on Thursday.
Solomon is scheduled to make the announcement at 10:00 am ET on Wednesday, and won't be announcing his decision until then. However, he did say he plans to tell his coaches and others close to him "soon."
Solomon had committed to Michigan in June, but re-opened his recruitment in August. The Wolverines have remained one of his leaders despite that, and according to our Michigan Insider, Michigan is the school he has chosen and will sign with on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-3, 288-pounder is ranked as the No. 2 defensive tackle and No. 25 overall prospect in the country, according to 247sports' Composite Rankings.
