The Miami Heat are reportedly expected to offer center Bam Adebayo a "lucrative" long-term extension this offseason.
Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reported the Heat are expected to offer Adebayo a new contract despite him having two years remaining on his current deal.
Whether Adebayo takes the contract will likely depend on whether he makes an All-NBA team. The Heat could offer Adebayo a four-year, $245 million supermax contract if he's selected to one of the three teams, which seems unlikely.
The NBA moved to positionless All-NBA teams for this season, and Adebayo will likely find himself on the outside in as a result.
