Ex-Man United assistant manager Kieran McKenna is set to make a swoop for Brandon Williams with Ipswich in 'advanced talks' to sign the Red Devils' defender on loan

Ipswich are reportedly in 'advanced talks' to sign Brandon Williams on loan this summer.

It comes as Blues' boss Kieran McKenna, who spent several years working at Manchester United between 2016 and 2021, notably operating as the senior side's assistant manger for three years, is looking to bring the left-back to the Suffolk-based club.

According to The Athletic Ipswich have been in talks over a season-long loan deal with Manchester United, that could include an option to buy the 22-year-old left-back.

Ipswich currently sit top of the Championship table, having won all three of their opening fixtures, with Mckenna claiming that he expects 'movement' both into and out of Portman road.
