The St. Louis Rams and Cleveland Browns face off this weekend in a battle of teams looking for their third wins of the season. The 2-3 Rams have pulled a pair of upsets this year, while the 2-4 Browns have suffered several heartbreaking losses. Only one team can pick up a win this week, and it's going to be St. Louis. Here are three reasons why the Rams are GUARANTEED to beat the Browns.
3. Defensive Line
There isn't a team in the NFL with a deeper and more talented defensive line than the Rams. Led by DT Aaron Donald, the Rams can stop the run and rush the passer with their front four. The Rams have a top 10 defense, in large part because of their dominant defensive line. The Rams will be able to hassle Browns QB Josh McCown all afternoon. The Rams are tied for third in the NFL with 19 sacks and they'll add to that number against Cleveland.
2. Turnovers
The Rams have a +1 turnover differential, while the Browns hold a -3. QB Nick Foles has struggled with turnovers at times this season, but that won't be the case against a Browns defense that has forced just four picks this season, with three of those coming last week. McCown won't have time to sit back in the pocket and make throws against the Rams' deadly defensive line, which will force him to turn the ball over several times. The Rams will win the turnover battle and the game.
1. Running Game
This is an incredible matchup for RB Todd Gurley, who has racked up over 300 yards in his last two games. Gurley goes up against a Browns' defense that is allowing 150 yards per game on the ground, the most in the NFL. The Browns have yet to stop anyone this season, and that won't change against the Rams. Gurley will receive a heavy dose of carries and he'll carry the Rams to a win this weekend.
