Here is one of the most intriguing Lakers rumors of the past week--an anonymous general manager of an NBA franchise as gone on the record today to state that Minnesota Timberwolves' superstar Kevin Love is guaranteed to join the Los Angeles Lakers in 2015.
As reported by ESPN's Chris Broussard earlier today, the mystery NBA general manager did not mince words, nor hesitate when asked about the possibility of Kevin Love heading to Los Angeles--
“Most executives believe Love is destined for the Lakers when he becomes a free agent in 2015. “That’s a 100 percent certainty,” one GM told me.”
For a Los Angeles Lakers' team that has been beset by countless injuries and multiple controversies regarding both the coaching staff and the general effort of the team, the mere thought of signing a franchise-altering talent such as Kevin Love should be a huge boost for an anxious fan-base.
Kevin Love is having a monstrous 2013-14 season, averaging 25.0 points and 12.9 rebounds per game. This is the fifth straight year that Love has averaged a double-double in those two categories.
