Chris Paul underwent surgery for his broken hand, the Clippers announced Tuesday. He'll be out four to six weeks and will then be reevaluated.

The Los Angeles Clippers became the second Western Conference contender to have their starting point guard suffer a potentially devastating injury on Monday night, as Chris Paul suffered a broken hand on this play against the Trail Blazers:

The injury is to Paul's right hand, which will affect him more since it's his dominant hand. He will be re-evaluated when the team returns to Los Angeles tomorrow, and will then have a timeline for his recovery.
Paul was hoping to lead the Clippers to their first Western Conference Finals in franchise history, and was averaging 26.3 points and 8.3 assists per game through the first three games of this series.
