Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin has missed the last several weeks with a quad injury, but he's now set to miss a lot more time after breaking his hand while hitting a member of the Clippers' equipment staff, according to ESPN's Michael Eaves.

Griffin joined the Clippers on their five-game road trip that started Thursday in Cleveland and was expected to play in that game, but was held out. However, he was sent home after their game against the Raptors on Sunday with what the team called a "setback" in his recovery from his quad injury. We now know that wasn't the case. He's now expected to miss at least a month.

This isn't Griffin's first physical altercation in his career. He was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery in November 2014 after allegedly fighting with a man at a Las Vegas nightclub after Griffin grabbed the man's phone. The case was dropped in March.
Griffin is averaging 23.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game so far this season.
