The Los Angeles Clippers are interested in acquiring forward Tayshaun Prince from the Boston Celtics, according to CBS' Ken Berger.
The Clippers have been looking to improve their bench unit, and got Austin Rivers from the Celtics in a three-team trade earlier this week. Prince would give them a solid defender they need coming off the bench.
The 34-year-old is in the final year of this contract, but probably won't be finishing the season in Boston as they look to pick up future assets. The Celtics acquired Prince in the deal that sent Jeff Green to the Grizzlies. He will be in Los Angeles for the Clippers' game against Boston on Monday.
Prince is making $7.7 million this season and is averaging 7.3 points in 24.2 minutes a game this season.
