Los Angeles Clippers sixth man Jamal Crawford has had his patience tested during a month-long injury layoff, but it looks like he could be ready to come back from his severely bruised right calf as early as next week.
"That's definitely the goal, to play as soon as possible," said Crawford, via the Los Angeles Times.

Crawford has been out since being kneed in the calf March 2nd against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and he has had his calf drained of fluid twice to help with the healing process.
All of this kept Crawford away from basketball activities until this past Friday when he finally got a chance to do some shooting with his teammates. With that out of the way, he now hopes he'll be able to get some into some game action before the 2015 NBA Playoffs get underway.
"The hardest part is going to start now as far as conditioning and timing," Crawford said. "Like now, I'll shoot a ball and it feels like it's going in and it's way short. And the ones that feel nasty are going in. I've just got to get the rhythm and get in game shape."
