It's a minor swap for both teams, although both could play reserve outfielder roles in the very near future. Eibner had been optioned to Triple-A yesterday. Both players were currently at the Triple-A level, but had spent time in the majors this year.
Burns posted a .294 batting average with 26 stolen bases last year, but regressed to .234 batting average this season. He's a speedy player, and had 14 steals this year.
In Eibner's first season, he hit .231 in a backup role. He had three homers and no steals.
