Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas has missed the last three games with a knee injury, and now we know the severity of it. It's a torn ACL.

While Moustakas is only heading to the 15-day DL, it seems like a torn ACL will require a longer rehab than just 15 days. Even if it's only a minor tear, it sounds like he'll miss some serious team.
Brett Eibner is the outfielder the Royals have called up to replace Moustakas on the 25-man roster. Cheslor Cuthbert has started at third in Moustakas' absence and should continue to do so.
The former No. 2 overall pick, Moustakas has spent his entire career with the Royals. He's hitting just .240 this year, although he does have seven home runs. His knee injury likely played a role in his poor batting average. Last year, Moustakas hit .284 with a .348 OBP, 22 home runs and 82 RBIs.
