The Kansas City Royals announced that they have signed right-handed pitcher Kris Medlen to a two-year deal that also includes a mutual option for the 2017 MLB season.
Per FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, Medlen will earn $2 million in 2015, and $5.5 million in 2016, and can pick up either a $10 million paycheck or $1 million buyout for 2017's mutual option:

Also, according to Rosenthal, there are $10 million worth of incentives that Medlen can pick up in addition to his $8.5 million in guaranteed salary:

Medlen, 29, was one of the Atlanta Braves’ best starting pitchers for the majority of the 2012 and 2013 seasons, but a second Tommy John surgery cost him his 2014 campaign and led to the Braves non-tendering him this offseason.
