After playing a part in a brawl with the Chicago White Sox on Thursday night, Kansas City Royalsl outfielder Lorenzo Cain says the bad blood between the Royals and White Sox has likely passed.
"I think we got all our emotions out that night and I think it's over and done with," Cain said on Sunday, via ESPN.com.
Cain was suspended for two games for his part in the brawl and is currently appealing the decision. In addition to Cain, Royals pitchers Yordano Ventura (seven games), Edinson Volquez (five) and Kelvin Herrera (two) are also currently appealing their suspensions by the MLB league office.
"It's definitely intense. It was definitely a hectic moment on the field," Cain said of Thursday's melee. "At the same time we're teammates in here, we backed each other. That's what we do."
