Tom Manning, former member of Matt Campbell's staff at Toledo for the past four seasons, was announced as Iowa State football's new offensive coordinator on Tuesday morning. Bobby La Gesse at The Ames Tribune was the first to report the news.
Manning was officially brought onto the Iowa State staff back on December 1, when it was announced that he'd be the offensive line coach for the Cyclones. Though he's never had any experience as an offensive coordinator, Coach Campbell holds his former Mount Union teammate in high esteem.
"Manning has played a major role in building Toledo's potent offense from 2012-15, helping shape Rocket offensive lines that have been among the best in the Mid-American Conference.
