The Iowa State Cyclones are hot in March.
After winning the Big-12 conference championship and crushing South Dakota State in the opening round, the second-seeded Cyclones continued the momentum to cruise to a 62-51 second round victory over Washington State.
The win allowed Iowa State to advance to the Sweet 16 for the second time in the last three seasons. The win came despite Washington State getting out to an early lead and the team's being tied at 27 at halftime.
Tamin Lipsey led the Cyclones with 15 points while also adding five rebounds and four assists.
