The Iowa Hawkeyes (28-18) are coming off a sweep of Northwestern last weekend. The Hawks dropped the previous series to Nebraska, losing the first two games and winning the finale as Brody Brecht threw a gem. For the other two games, Nebraska outscored Iowa 19-6. The Hawks returned home for games against Illinois State and North Dakota State University. The Hawkeyes came back to defeat Illinois State 8-7 on Tuesday, April 30. The Hawks lost to NDSU on Wednesday, May 1st, by a football score (or at least a non-Brian Ferentz-coached football game) of 21-14.
