Aaron Rodgers left last night's game against the Chicago Bears in the first quarter, and the Packers currently expect their franchise quarterback to miss at least three weeks with a minor collarbone fracture. Backup Seneca Wallace didn't impress while deputizing for Rodgers, and according to Howard Balzer (a highly respected former ESPN anchor and a member of the Football Writers Association of America), the Pack have reached out to...sigh...Brett Favre to fill the gap.
The 44-year-old Favre recently denied having an interest in coming back to the NFL, but that was before the Packers came calling. The Rams, reportedly his last suitors, never actually intended to bring Favre back, but now that Green Bay is involved, all bets are off.
Word is the Packers have reached out to Brett Favre.
